My Hiking Guide at Mt. Manalmon

"The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."
Hiking is a great way to spend time outside, get some exercise and explore beautiful outdoor locations.
Best of all, hiking is a very accessible outdoor activity that requires very little gear to get started.
Whether it's your first time hiking or you've already been mountaineering, I've put together this hiking guide to Mt. Manalmon.
Mt. Manalmon is located at San Miguel, Bulacan, Philippines.
It requires half day to reach the summit and very friendly for first-time hikers.
It's a minor climb with difficulty of 2/9 and trail class of 1-2.
It is part of the historical Biak-na-Bato National Park.
There are also nearby sites such as Bayukbok Cave(which I will be sharing with you in my next post) and Madlum Cave.
Once you completed Mt. Manalmon, you can also opt to try the Mt. Gola which you can visit by turning left that lead to its peak.
I suggest you pay a visit to this mountains early morning as for our experience we are stuck in the traffic for almost 5 hours and we reached the location noontime.
And as we all know, that it's not the perfect timing for hiking because of the temperature.

If you have spare time, you can visit Mt. Gola that is an additional 30 minutes-1 hour hike.

Here are some of the essentials you need to get ready/bring in the hike:
* 2L of water
* Trail Food(such as nuts, chocolates, fruits, etc.)
* Changing clothes & towel
* Camera & Action Cams(which is very important for me haha)
* Being Physically Fit(workout a day before heading for a hike for better preparations)
*  Hiking gears(bags, clothes, shades, etc. which are appropriate for hiking)
* Energy(which I guess needs to be there always to keep you going)
* Flashlight(for those who are interested to visit the caves but if you didn't have any, you can rent their head light for P20 pesos)
* First Aid Kit(It should be a necessity that one of the team should have this for emergency purposes)
* Sunscreen(especially when you are hiking after 9 am and it keeps you from skin sun damage)
***
The experience is definitely surreal when we finally reach the summit.
The view is spectacular and makes you stress-free!
