Another trip around the sun, and here I am—36 years old. Birthdays always make me pause, not just to celebrate but to reflect on how far I’ve come, what I’ve learned, and the kind of person I want to continue becoming.
My 30s have been such a mix of challenges, growth, and gratitude. They’ve taught me lessons I didn’t fully understand in my 20s—lessons about love, family, resilience, and what truly matters in life.
Here are some reflections I carry with me into this chapter:
The little things are the big things.
Joy isn’t always in grand achievements. It’s in laughter around the dinner table, morning cuddles, quiet coffee moments, and the feeling of peace when you finally allow yourself to slow down.
Boundaries are a form of self-care.
I’ve learned that saying “no” doesn’t make you selfish—it makes you strong. Protecting your energy is an act of love, not just for yourself but for the people who truly matter.
Growth often happens in silence.
Not every victory is visible. Sometimes it’s simply getting through a tough day, choosing kindness when it’s easier to react, or holding on to hope when things feel uncertain.
Health and family are the true measures of success.
Titles, milestones, or material things don’t compare to having the people you love safe, healthy, and by your side. At the end of the day, that’s what gives life meaning.
Perfection isn’t the goal—peace is.
Life doesn’t have to look flawless to be beautiful. It’s the imperfections, the lessons, and even the struggles that make the journey worthwhile.
At 36, I’m embracing the balance of holding on and letting go—holding on to the things that bring me joy and letting go of what no longer serves me.
So here’s to this chapter: more wisdom, more love, and more reasons to be grateful. 💕
How do you find this post?
Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks,
